If you have a Windows 11 Home or Pro system you are setting up and you do not want to sign in with a Microsoft account, it should work to use the in the Sign in field and anything you want for the password then just click Next.
In Windows 11, Microsoft Accounts are forced to begin using Windows 11 Home Edition and hard to bypass in Windows 10 Pro. After getting into Windows 11, follow the steps below to add and change to a Local Account. Or it may ask you do you want to create a local account after using the login.
Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open Run dialog
Type netplwiz and click OK
Click the Add button to add an Account
Choose Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended) in the bottom left of dialog.
Choose Local account if prompted
Type the username and password you want, and you must supply a hint.
Click Finish
Sign out from the current account and sign into the new Local Account.
If desired you can reopen User Accounts to remove the Microsoft Account you had setup
Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open Run dialog
Type netplwiz and click OK
Choose the Microsoft Account, click Remove button below
From this point you can use your Local Account and not require to use a Microsoft Account to use your computer.
