Windows 11 version 24H2 released October 1, 2024
Microsoft on October 1, 2024 released Windows 11 version 24H2.
When the Copilot + laptops were released with the Snapdragon X processors these were the first computers released with Windows 11 version 24H2. Now Microsoft has released the update for more computers with Intel and AMD processors today October 1, 2024.
Windows 11 version 24H2 is supported until October 13, 2026.
Here are the new features in this new version of Windows 11.
Copilot+ PC exclusive features:
- Live Captions
- Cocreator in Paint
- Windows Studio Effects
- Auto Super Resolution
- Image Creator and Restyle Image.
Along with these features for all systems:
- Wi-Fi 7
- Bluetooth LE Audio
- System tray and taskbar enhancements
- Streamlined File Explorer
- Smart power management
- Join and share Wi-Fi networks with QR codes
- Enhanced privacy controls for Wi-Fi network access
- Effortless account management and notifications in Microsoft Teams
- Improved Voice Clarity across devices
- Sudo for Windows – elevate Windows command line
- Remote Desktop with enhanced connectivity and accessibility
Microsoft will block the update for computers that have a compatibility issue that is not supported by Windows 11 version 24H2, until that issue is resolved to prevent issues with the upgrade.
