Key logger found in HP laptop touchpad driver
In several models of HP laptop computers it has been found that there is a built in key logger utility. In most cases the key logger is disabled by default, but it is still a security concern. HP has posted a list of affected computers with updated drivers for each – https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05827409. This issue was posted by HP on December 7, 2017.
A key logger program can write to a file every key that you press on your keyboard of your computer. This becomes a security concern since you often type in passwords for websites and that information would be stored in the file.
