Intel Management Engine, Server Platform Services and Trusted Execution Engine Security Issue
Intel on 11/21/2017 announced that many of the current processors are affected by a Important security issue INTEL-SA-00086. This issue affects Intel Management Engine (ME), Intel Server Platform Services (SPS), and Intel Trusted Execution Engine (TXE) versions. The issue is an Elevation of Privilege issue which allows specific written code to bypass security features in the processor chips’ design. This affects many processors from August 2015 – Current.
